Natural Language Processing (NLP) was one of the latest Artificial Intelligence techniques that the Institute of Knowledge Engineering (IIC) incorporated into its activity. And that was more than 10 years ago. Currently, this is one of our most fruitful lines of research, together with the boom in text and sentiment analysis, voice assistants and language models . For this reason, we inaugurate the IIC 2022 Conference with the session “A decade of PLN in Spanish” , in which we will review our experience in this technology, the recent developments in Spanish and some success stories in different sectors.
The event will be hybrid, with in-person seats at the IBM Innovation Studio and broadcast live via streaming . You can now register in any of the two formats: SEE SUMMARY PLN references and success stories To talk about the evolution of PLN, the challenges and its possible future , we will have IIC experts and companies that are India Part Time Job Seekers Phone Number List already applying these techniques to improve their processes. This is the complete agenda: Some milestones of the IIC in Natural Language Processing The IIC has been researching and working on Natural Language Processing (NLP) for a decade. During this time, we can highlight some milestones related to projects and sectors. It was in 2009 when we began to investigate the analysis of texts and opinion that would later be recognized as PLN.
With these techniques, in 2011 we developed one of our first tools, this time for monitoring and analyzing social networks: Lynguo . RIGO BERTA We also apply NLP in different sectors. In 2016, progress is made in the analysis of texts in HR. H H. and its relationship with competencies and values of organizations. In 2017, we developed a document indexing and search solution in the legal sector: Seek you. And in 2019, when the IIC turns 30, it was the health sector's turn. All this without failing to reinforce the research part. In 2018 we created the UAM-IIC Chair on Computational Linguistics and in 2020 we embarked on the project of developing our own language model in Spanish , after which we can now present RigoBERTa to you at the event that we propose.
Victor Rubio Traditionally, personality is assessed through the individual's own evaluative judgment and a lexical approach, at the risk of that person giving a distorted image of themselves or other types of biases occurring. In his conference, Víctor Rubio, Doctor and professor of the Department of Biological and Health Psychology at the UAM, explained some of the alternatives to the so-called self-reports and which are based on the analysis of expressive behavior , also through the technology. These initiatives try to estimate or predict personality based on elements that we can observe and appreciate, such as movement or voice . And although the procedures are not as widespread or as efficient, in recent times, the development of technology has led to significant progress in automatic personality assessment.
